Swan Song

The saxophone was born in a time of elegance and innovation.

While the potential for rapid passages was acknowledged, the earliest friends of the saxophone praised the sublime beauty of sound above everything else.

Sigurd Raschèr always played beautiful melodies, no matter what the speed of the musical passage was.

In this way one could say that every tune he encountered became a gorgeous “swan song“.
