“Why I play in the RSQ is more a question for the three of you (turning to his colleagues).
I feel honored that 10 years ago, you had so much faith in me to offer me the position.
I am eternally grateful to have been given the opportunity to play a role in this precious chamber ensemble, and in the tradition that it represents.
For me, this means the world.
I love performing exciting and beautiful works across the globe with my friends, perpetually trying to raise the bar.
And at the same time developing ideas that contribute artistically, but also help safeguarding the Quartet, and the tradition for that matter.
My sincere hope is that the RSQ is still very much active and buzzing long after my earthly time is over.
I simply do my very best to make this happen.“
