A tradition is about more than any one particular person, and when enough years have passed, it becomes the owness of its followers to carry the torch and, as Walt Disney put it, to “keep moving forward“.
The early 2000‘s marked a special time to once again sail into the uncharted waters of a larger ensemble comprised of our instruments, this time with a brand new vessel: the Raschèr Saxophone Orchestra.
There were some returning saxophonists from the Raschèr Saxophone Ensemble:
Carina Raschèr, Patrick Meighan, and Bruce Weinberger, who conducted the orchestra.
This was a magical chapter in our journey, full of friendships and with many world premieres to boot!
