Day 10

This day is dedicated in deepest thanks to Sigurd M. Raschèr and to all former members of the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet.

Fremd bin ich eingezogen, Fremd zieh‘ ich wieder raus

Once again many a year had passed since our last saxophone orchestra adventure, and the spark of its soul again reignited to take on a new form:

the Raschèr Academy Orchestra.

With master composer Jay Schwartz having recomposed Schubert‘s Winterreise, and with the illustrious singer Bernhard Hirtreiter on board, we were ready to once again to embark on another grand journey.

With the fiercely talented young rising stars of the Raschèr Academy Orchestra at our side, we did not go gently into that good night, not even with a pandemic in our midst!

With the noses of new faces pointed forward, and all hearts beating in synch to the tune of a powerful tradition, we were ready to survive our Winterreise.

After all, people, when operating at their very best, thrive as a team!
